Error Description

This error indicates that QuickBooks has detected damage in the encryption to sensitive data fields like bank accounts, social security numbers, or credit card numbers. All sensitive data is encrypted using the administrator password. If the data file has damage in the security password, the sensitive fields cannot be encrypted properly resulting in Qucikbooks displaying the error message:
LVL_SEVERE_ERROR--GetDecryptedCreditCardNumber The decryption has failed.

How to Fix this Error?

If you are unable to resolve the error using the basic troubleshooting steps mentioned above, your data file is most likely to be corrupted and will need to be repaired using a Quickbooks Data Recovery Service.
